I’M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!! It’s old news, but I FINALLY feel like a bride to be. Wedding planning is in full force and I am so excited I don’t even know what to do with myself. We are getting married March 25th at The Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles. DREAM VENUE come true. I recently tried my wedding dress on for the first time since purchasing her last December. She is the most beautiful piece of art I have ever laid my eyes. Not being able to show my fiancé a picture of her has been so hard, but I know it will all be worth it when I take my first step down the aisle (he better f* cry). Since our wedding is considered a destination, I like to call it a wedding weekend. I have a Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, AND a Farewell Brunch that I need outfits for. Besides LOVVVVVINGGGGG my outfits, my #1 rule with purchasing them is that I want them to be something I will wear again. What I have found to be the easiest with this whole process is doing it all via online shopping. I love going to a store and shopping around, but when I’m not even sure what I am looking for online shopping has been a savior. Here are some tips that have helped me along the way.
- Give yourself plenty of time!! It’s never too early to starting looking. There is nothing worse than feeling rushed and unprepared, especially before the biggest weekend of your life.
- If you are obsessed with how you feel in the outfit, but it’s 6 months before the wedding and your scared to commit because you think something better might come along- get over it. You know if you really love something or you don’t. HELLO YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED.
- With online shopping, make sure whatever you purchase is returnable. You might love it online, but hate it in person. DUHH
- Buy items that give you a different look than you wedding dress. I’m wearing my hair down for the wedding, so for my welcome party or rehearsal dinner I want something where I can wear my hair in a cool braided up-do. SWITCH IT UP LADIES.
- Listen to yourself, and how YOU feel in the outfit. I don’t know what it is about weddings, but people really love to give their opinions. If you love the outfit, and it makes you feel magical, GET IT! Who cares what others have to say.
Check out some of my picks below. (Obsessing over Jonathan Simkhai and Johanna Ortiz at the moment.)
